tradeshows & event marketing
Tradeshows and events are unique and powerful promotional vehicles in many industries. But utilizing these vehicles to their fullest potential requires diligent planning and execution. Simply learning about an upcoming show, throwing together a booth and standing there waiting for someone to walk up and start a conversation is not going to bring you the ROI you are hoping for.
In a recent survey of tradeshow attendees sponsored by Tradeshow Week magazine, the majority indicated that they had pre-scheduled 75% of their time during the show. They knew which booths they were going to visit. They knew which seminars they were going to attend. And they knew which cocktail parties they would be crashing. In other words, the companies that don’t touch those attendees before the show and get on their schedules are fighting for the other 25% of their time. Not great odds.
All the more reason to implement a comprehensive tradeshow marketing plan that includes:
- Show research
- An appropriate booth design
- Pre and post-show promotions
- Booth etiquette training.
